ian-hurd.jpgIan Hurd is Professor of Political Science and Director of the Center for International and Area Studies at Northwestern University. He is the author of International Organizations: Politics, Law, Practice (4th Edition, 2020)How to Do Things with International Law (2017), and After Anarchy: Legitimacy and Power in the UN Security Council (2008), and co-editor of The Oxford Handbook of International Organizations (2016). He is a frequent contributor to public debates on global affairs, foreign policy, and international law. His work has appeared in leading academic and policy journals, including International Organization, Foreign Affairs, International Politics, Global Governance, and Ethics & International Affairs.

Her research interests include political economy, state authority and territoriality, and the politics of the Internet.

Elizabeth Good is a PhD student in the Department of Political Science at Northwestern University working in Comparative Politics, International Relations, and Methods, with a regional specialization in Africa. Her research interests include International Organizations, Post-Conflict Reconciliation, Gender, Wartime Sexual Violence, and Norms.
